About the Course
Respirators are protective devices used to reduce workers’ harmful exposures to airborne hazards, including oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
OSHA requires that all employees be trained in respiratory protection at all times before beginning work with their respirator. Workers before training, must first pass a medical evaluation. This is necessary because respirators can make breathing difficult or induce feelings of claustrophobia, and not all workers can wear a respirator.
